I'm originally from the Northern Virginia/Washington DC area where I was a Financial Analyst for 12 years. At age 29 I was suffering from acid reflux, migraines, and general fatigue. I had been to conventional Doctors, and prescribed medications, but the effect was temporary...and I still didn't feel "well" overall. This just didn't make sense to me. I shouldn't be feeling this way at 29. As fate would have it, a friend recommended that I see her Acupuncturist. Although I had been interested in Eastern studies like Qigong, Tai Qi, Yoga, and martial arts, I was a bit skeptical of the healing potential of Acupuncture. Well, as you might have guessed, I was blown away! The results were almost immediate. The acidic feeling in my stomach disappeared and was replaced by a cool sensation. I had never felt anything like it before. After just a few treatments, my digestive issues improved significantly, my energy returned, and I have not had a migraine headache since I started getting acupuncture. Long story, short..I felt good again and I found my true calling in life. This medicine worked and I wanted to help others with it.

I moved to Sarasota, FL in 2004 and graduated from the East West College of Natural Medicine (a 5 year program accelerated in 3 years) in 2007 with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. I have also studied and practiced in hospitals and clinics in Hang Zhou, China.

After graduating, I worked in a very busy clinic in Lakewood Ranch, FL for 2 years before founding One Point Wellness in Sarasota, FL. After 4 years of running my own clinic in Sarasota, FL, I am happy to be starting a new practice in Aurora. I'm closer to family and I love Colorado. I am a Colorado Licensed Acupuncturist and I am Board Certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. While all Acupuncturists are Board Certified in Acupuncture, very few are Board Certified in Chinese Herbology. I am proud to say that One Point Wellness has an extensive Herbal Pharmacy on-site and that the appropriate use of Herbal Remedies can often replace (or mitigate the side effects of) pharmaceutical medications. Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture provide safe, effective, natural alternatives to many conventional therapies and pharmaceutical medicines. I am also a certified Qigong Instructor.

The term "One Point" represents Balance. This reference is often seen in Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and martial arts. The One Point is also known as the Dantian or Hara. To maintain One Point is to maintain Balance. "This is what I strive to do for my patients...bring balance back to their lives." This can mean anything from eliminating pain to regulating digestion to alleviating insomnia...and all areas in between. "Everyone is unique, and this medicine seeks to treat the individual, not just their symptoms."
